Ala Wai Harbor Cleanup 2011

The Honolulu Sail and Power Squadron members demonstrate kokua during Ala Wai Clean Up, "Get the Drift and Bag It", by working to improve the marine environment in the Ala Wai.

Teams collected and counted the debris collected, with trash bags to going to nearest dumpster, and then counts are turned in upon return to Waikiki Yacht Club.

The Ala Wai Harbor Clean Up is an annual event which is part of a world-wide effort to clean up our coastal areas.
